Luz Estella Barbosa is a bilingual (English/Spanish) New Yorker of Colombian descent with more than 25 years of experience in client service, production management, and event logistics across nonprofit, corporate, fashion, and private-client settings.

Her client-relationship background runs deep. For nearly a decade at Ameritas, she served as Senior Coordinator for Sales Support & Operations, working with sales reps, brokers, and internal teams to move group cases from proposal through implementation and renewal. As International Sales Manager for Beccar Couture, she represented the brand at bridal markets, placed international orders, and managed follow-up with stockists. Since 2011, she has also managed schedules, vendors, contractors, travel, and budgets for a private New York client across multiple properties.

Her media and production experience began in nonprofit communications. As Publications Manager at Family Care International, she supervised a four-person communications team, managed budgets, and directed translators, designers, photographers, and printers. At the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, she led digital and print production from proposal through delivery, managed conference and trade-show logistics, and helped build the organization’s social media presence and video library.

In 2012, she founded Stella Lucchi in New York, a circular fashion brand rooted in upcycled jewelry. For the past three and a half years, based in Armenia, Quindío, Colombia, she has focused on community-based work. She created the Stella Lucchi Circular Experience (SLCE), an event format combining clothing swaps, mending stations, upcycling workshops, panel discussions, and fashion shows, and has brought it to universities, cultural spaces, and community organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce of Armenia, Quindío. She co-created the Tardes de Intercambio clothing-swap series with Global Fashion Exchange and mentors women entrepreneurs in sustainable fashion. She was recognized as an Environmental Leader by the Governor’s Office of Quindío, Colombia, and is a New York State certified jeweler.
