Cano-Moreno co-founded Urban Latino Magazine in 1994 with an initial investment of $2,000. In five years, he built it into a national brand grossing over 1.5 Million dollars a year. Urban Latino become a lifestyle magazine, proudly exists as one of the few independent voices of the Latino culture in the United States.

In 1999 Cano-Moreno, along with El Diario La Prensa, the largest Spanish language newspaper in the northeast, launched Urban Sofrito, a monthly bi-lingual newspaper supplement in 2002. In the same year Cano-Moreno collaborated with AIM, TV and launched Urban Latino TV a magazine format television show, Urban Latino TV was distributed to the top 25 markets and was syndicated through network television. Cano-Moreno is a much sought after public speaker on a variety of media and entertainment topics. He has been a guest speaker at many leading universities, such as Harvard, Columbia University, Boston College and University of Florida among others. In 2007, Cano-Moreno along with partners, launched a Marketing and Public Relations service company Urban Lifestyle Media (ULM). In less then three years ULM Clients included Bacardi, Heineken, Dewar’s, HBO, DreamWorks and Sprint. Los Insiders hosted by Jorge Cano-Moreno & Alex Norman

In 2012 Cano-Moreno was hired to oversee the grassroots Marketing for John Leguizamo’s Ghetto Klown John Leguizamo’s “Ghetto Klown” In-Store @BestBuy, NYC and shortly after did work for Alicia Keys’ play Stick Fly. In 2013 ULM was part of the marketing effort of the following Hollywood studio releases Runner Runner, End of Watch and Need for Speed.

In 2018 Cano-Moreno began to invest in the NYC food industry with the investment in a Colombian restaurant brand Grano de Café Northen Blvd purchased in 2019 followed by launching a food truck service called Latin Chef League in 2022 and in April 2024 opened a second Location in the Inwood area of Manhattan in New York City with plans to expand into other areas of the food industry. In 2023 Cano-Moreno also teamed up with Zeitlin Perez to revamp the Talent and Booking business www.clefstage.com and currently manage emerging talent like Afro-Dominicano. The mission with Clef Stage is to book, promote and secure branding deals for multicultural  Artist and Speakers. 

Jorge Cano-Moreno is ultimately working towards leaving a lasting impression through his body of work that will cement itself as culturally relevant and serve as a model of tireless effort and commitment to the Latino and Urban Community.
